CN Centre Third Time Lucky?

Prince George, B.C.- For the third straight year, the CN Centre in Prince George has been nominated for the Canadian Music and Broadcast Industry Award: The “Air Canada Centre” Major Facility of the Year” (under 8,000 seats).
“We are privileged to again be recognized,” says Glen Mikkelsen, Entertainment & Marketing Supervisor. “2009 was an exciting year of entertainment. We hosted entertainers from around the world, including Brooks & Dunn, Alan Jackson, ZZ Top, Blue Man Group, Loverboy, and even Video Games Live. It is very gratifying to have the music industry again respect and acknowledge our staff’s customer service commitment.”
CN Centre faces some stiff competition from:

• Encana Events Centre, Dawson Creek
• Enmax Centre, Lethbridge
• Essar Centre, Sault Ste. Marie
• GM Centre, Oshawa
• K-Rock Centre, Kingston
• Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre, Victoria
CN Centre & Community Arenas Manager Andy Beesley says, the nomination is a direct reflection on the staff’s expertise, and their consummate ability to deliver exceptional service to promoters, artists, and production crews and the tremendous job done by the partner organizations “The CN Centre is very fortunate to have such an enthusiastic and committed team of people!”
The winner of the “Air Canada Centre” Major Facility of the Year award will be announced at the sold out Canadian Music and Broadcast Industry’s gala banquet in Toronto on March 11th.
