Prince George, B.C.- The Federal Government will reveal it’s budget this afternoon, and the outline provided by yesterday’s Speech from the Throne suggests it will be a belt tightening document aimed at cutting spending and reducing the federal debt.

Expect details on salary freezes for federal politicians and government spending in an effort to deal with the $56 billion dollar debt.

Pensions, education and health care are to be exempt from cuts.

The budget is expected to be delivered  around 12:30 this afternoon Prince George time.
