Most of the fatalities I remember hearing about involved people on the wrong side of the yellow line in winter conditions. Crossing the yellow line kills more than drinking and driving and speed combined IMO.
I agree Eagleone and the reason being, I believe they use water paint for center lines in the north. Paint them in September and they are gone by the end of November. I've seen lots of drivers over the center line because they can't tell where it is and are paranoid of running off the road to the right where the fog lines have long since disappeared as well.
They should have the "rumble" strips on all highways. They work the best IMO !
they should make everyone ride horses again then fatalities would drop to 1 a year would be my guess
Yellow lines and rumble strips will prevent this carnage?

I always assumed if you payed attention while driving everyone would be safer.

Boy was I wrong.
What? No one blamed the potholes?
if there are enough pot holes, it becomes a rumble strip
You will know when they are again gonna upgrade Highway 16 and Domano. They will paint lines on the road.
