congratulations!

this citizen is proud of our local talent. You ought to remember that we as Canadians spend so little to encourage our athletes and yet they do so well!

Norway, the country that won the Olympics has yearly competitions to pick out the best young kids to gain funding to train. We spend ridiculous amounts to have our hockey players, and negligible amounts in comparison for other sports. Look at the difference!
She was born here but did she grow up here? Don't think so. At any rate, I doubt our air quality would prompt her to stick around anyway - you need good cardio for her sport!
Yes, Megan did grow up and train as a biathlete here as a member of the Caledonia Nordics Ski Club's biathlon section under the careful coaching of Jeremy Campbell and Fiona Coy. That club has been producing some terrific skiers and biathletes and it has helped put Prince George on the map as a centre of excellence for those sports.
Pretty sure she has family here but lives in Squamish now.
