Final Preparations Made for Burial of Cpl. Fitzpatrick

Prince George, B.C.- Members of the family of fallen soldier Corporal Darren Fitzpatrick say they are overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support shown by so many, especially from the people of Prince George.
Tomorrow, Corporal Fitzpatrick will be laid to rest in the Prince George Cemetery.
The Fitzpatrick family says members of the public are welcome to attend this full Military ceremony which will take place at 1:00.
The funeral procession will start at Assman’s Funeral Home on Queensway and there will be a rolling blockade as the procession makes its way to the Cemetery. 
Expect road closures between 12:30 and 1:00 on Queensway, ramps to and from Highway 97, Ferry Avenue from Highway 16, and on Memorial Way. Memorial Way be closed to all vehicles except those involved in the funeral procession.
The public can use Lansdowne Road to access the Cemetery.
Residents of Prince George can expect to see members of Corporal Fitzpatrick’s Battalion in town. About 40 members of the 3rd Battalion of the Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry are in Prince George to be part of the service tomorrow.
