Toy Gun Gives Public And Police A Scare

Quesnel- Police in Quesnel feared they had an incident on their hands, Monday at 2pm., when a 911 call reported a man walking into the mobile Park adjacent to the Correlieu Senior Secondary School with a gun.

Police arrived on the scene to find a 49 year old man walking towards the school. He was apprehended at gun point, were upon police discovered they were dealing with a toy gun.

The man was determined to be mentally challenged. He was taken to a relative’s residence nearby.

Police say the toy hand gun had been tucked into the waist of his pants and it gave the impression of a real hand gun. It was learned that the toy gun had been recently purchased.

When arrested the gun was not on his person, it had been left at the relatives home in the trailer park.

He was released without charges
