Firefighters complete their mop up of a fire at Intercon Pulp in Prince George
Prince George, B.C.- Prince George Fire and Rescue responded to a call about a fire at Intercontinental Pulp on P.G. Pulpmill Road late this afternoon. Nineteen firefighters responded in five trucks to assist Canfor's fire crews to contain the blaze.
On arrival, crews saw smoke and flames coming from the roof of one of the main buildings, an area where the wood chips feed on a conveyor into the mill.
There were no reported injuries. The damage estimate is not yet available, and the fire had no impact on production.
