Police Search Landfill For Clues in Disappearance of Ft. St. John Woman

Fort St John, BC- It has been a week since 28 year old Abigail Andrews disappeared.  Abigail  was last seen a week ago, walking away from her Ft. St. John residence on the evening of April 7.

Investigators of the RCMP North District Major Crime Unit and the Fort St John Serious Crime Unit are continuing their investigation into her disappearance .

During the course of their investigation, investigators have received numerous tips from the public which they are continuing to investigate. As a result of information yielded during the course of this investigation, police, with the assistance of the Fort St John Search and Rescue team, have been conducting a search of the local landfill. Investigators believe they may locate at that location evidence that could help further the police investigation.

Police are asking anyone who may have any information about Abigail’s disappearance to contact them at 250-787-8140 or to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

Abigail, who is pregnant, is described as being 6 feet tall, 200 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes. She also has a tribal art tattoo on her lower back.
