Prince George, B.C.- The Regional District of Fraser Fort George Board of Directors meets today and will look at two applications for the development of two temporary gravel pit operations.
One, in Miworth, next to the Otway Cross Country Ski club, the other in Stoner, next to the Stone Creek R.V. campsite.
In the Stoner plan, the applicants have expressed a willingness to put in a berm to mitigate any sound issues.
In the Miworth plan, the proponent says he doesn’t think there will be any complaints about sound as the operations are limited to 9 am to 5 p.m. He told a recent public meeting in Miworth that sound testing had not been done.
