STEEP Prices for a guy who is 35 years past his best songs. Will I be going? Damn right I will, if I can get tickets. It's Elton Freeking John for crying out loud. In PG no less. Sure, he's no Charley Pride, but it'll be an awesome show.
WOOHOO Elton John!!! I am so going!!! don't care what the cost is!! I am going!!

WOOHOO Elton John!!!
Elton John is truly world renowned and without doubt, will be the biggest name to ever play PG (past and present). The guy could sell out any venue in the entire world at prices double of what is being charged for this show. Rest assured, people from PG wanting to attend will be competing with people from at least Western Canada for tickets, possibly from beyond. There will be no issue with selling out CN Centre at those prices. Good job whomever managed to get this lined up.
May I suggest that you go onto the Ticketmaster web site early this week and familiarize yourself with how it works, as we are expecting it to sell out in minutes. Also, check your clock to make sure you have accurate time as it will be exactly 10am on Friday that tickets go on sale so you don't want to waste any seconds!
I have been an Elton John fan for 35 years - I am amazed that he is coming here. I just wish I could afford to go as I am sure it will be a great show and well worth the price of the tickets.
Whooooo Hooooo!!! I am so excited and it's a great way to start the week knowing he will be in PG. I seen him in Vegas in 2008 and had 7th row. Was well worth the $300 so this to me is half price and I will see him again. Great entertainer and musician and Love, Love, Love Sir Elton John. Oh happy days!!!!
Prince George...where old rockers come to die?

Other than Hamilton, seems to be hitting limited small town venues in Canada.

5 places
Kingston
Hamilton
Sault Ste Marie
Prince George
Kelowna

We probably have the smallest catchment area. Interesting.

Eagles, in Vancouver for one show. Sold out in 5 minutes at the same type of prices in GM place. Second show put on. Sold out again in 5 minutes. Third show put on. Likely sold out just as fast.

Just think folks, these are artists who perform their art in front of an audience. We have people willing to spend that kind of money to see them. Having facilities to draw performing artists to this community means that we will keep more money in town and bring more money into town from outside.

Then again, I guess we could look at all those paying those kind of prices as being the real elites in town. And here I thought they were the classic music lovers. How wrong I was!!!! :-)
Well if I don't get tickets on Friday I will have a first born son for trade on Craigslist on Friday about 1010am. Well trianed, polite, good grades, knows how to work without dirrection, not lippy, low maintenance and healthy, floor seats preferred!!
Seen Elton in Vancouver a couple of years back, old fella still puts on a good show.
Goose pimple time! How about Bob Dylan, next?
It must be coming close to the end of his career.... Prince George. He must have thought that Boy George lives here.
Judging by most of the responses in this thread, there's going to be a lot of people left out in the cold come Friday morning.
Ugh! Can't afford the tix.....Already spent the budget on Jeff Dunham.

Maybe I can find some spare cash somewhere.....
Isn't his bf from Kelowna?
nm he is from Ontario..
haha so gay
"Lady John" tagging along? Jest wunderin'.
I'm just guessing here, but I'd lay money that some of the posters on this thread drive 1 ton diesels for reasons other than their ability to tow a load, LOL.
On a more serious note, two tickets to see Sir Elton are close to $230 bucks. And that is if ya ain't dragging anyone else along. With all the angst and woe pertaining to the upcoming HST hue and cry, I suppose some signers of the HST petition can justify this expense to be entertained for a few hours. But then again, it always seems to me that some people have no qualms about justifying anything. That's all.
that large sucking sound is money that is definetly leaving the country from this tour.....
but as usual in our society we are allowed to vote with our feet and our wallet...
I am appauled so see such homophobic comments. Shame on all of you. Sir Elton is one of the greats. His personal life in none of your business unless of course you have a thing for him :)
Yer right, the fact he is homo takes nothing away from his ability to entertain. He was a big star, have to give him credit for that. Not sure how well he sings nowadays, hopefully well enough to not be embarrassing, will he still be the Queen of pop?
sorry, could not resist.
metalman.
Betcha the home town crowd hopes he sings that song about the dead blonde. Either one.
