Prince George, B.C.- IDL Projects of Prince George has been awarded the contract for phase two of the River Road improvements.

IDL had the lowest bid for the project at $2,627,937.00, about $50 thousand dollars less than the next competitor.

The work  will focus on the stretch of river Road from Foley Crescent to First Avenue. Once the tender documents have been signed, it is expected the actual work will take a little less than three months to complete.

The project includes building up River Road to the 200 year flood plain level and improved drainage.

Phase one of this project was completed last year by Sharp Construction at a cost of $2.4 million dollars.
A total of $7 million dollars had been  projected for the two phases and the two projects are within that budget.

IDL... what a surprise. Seems like they get their name into every project in PG...
Can't beat quality ........ :-)
great LOCAL company!!!!
How about fixing the roads around the city that most of the public use. I use River road and it's in better shape than Foothills, Ospika and othe major roads in the city.
Hate to disappoint you Dan, but it looks like IDL will be building the 17 million dollar CNC trades centre too. No, there is not any funny business going on, they are sharp estimators, that is why;

IDL did an amazing job last year with the Domano intersection project.
IDL is not a local company.
Quality??? Just check out the amazing job they did by the side of the highway at the casino. What a joke!
Or as one IDL employee says ...
I - idiots
D - dummies
L - losers
Laughing all the way to the bank.
Yeah, that pile of dirt beside the casino is quite the piece of construction, but I don't blame IDL for that eyesore. How did the residents manage to get that built for them? It's as if they never knew they lived beside a highway and were shocked when they found out.
"IDL is not a local company"
Huh? 1088 Great St. Prince George.
The pricipals live in Prince George too...
metalman.
Most importantly, I am under the impression..they hire LOCAL PEOPLE!
IDL is a local company, although the major investor is based in Edmonton.

It is comprised of former management of WIC, with a sugar daddy from Alberta.
