St. Vincent de Paul Gets Federal Funding

Prince George, B.C. - The St. Vincent de Paul Society ini Prince George,  has received just over $125 thousand dollars from the Federal Government.
 
The funding will be used to provide food through its  drop-in meal service on Second Avenue in Prince George, and to help individuals in need meet basic living requirements through referrals to appropriate support agencies in the community.

That is good news. I believe the homeless should be helped by the various organizations such as this and Salvation Army etc.
Actually I think all pan-handling should be illegal. There should be fines for it but instead of fining the pan handler (who has no money anyways) the fine should be issued to the person giving money to a panhandler. That fine should then go to the charities that help people in need. If there was no gain in panhandling then they would not be doing it. I find panhandlers incredibly annoying, they make me angry.

St. Vincents is a wonderful orginization, and I love their Thrift Store!! best in town IMO.
Conservatives give $120 million who are making money hand over fist, and $120 thousand to feed people. Nice priorities.
