Chetwynd Police Investigate Forcible Confinement and Assault

Chetwynd, B.C.- For the second time in as many days, a person has been forcibly confined and assaulted in Chetwynd.

On April 25th, 2010, members of the Chetwynd RCMP started an investigation into a serious assault and forcible confinement that took place at a residence in Chetwynd. The alleged suspect has been taken into custody, and a search warrant executed at the residence where the incident took place. The investigation into this matter is ongoing.

Police say the two incidents are not related,  however,  it should be noted that in both incidents, the victims and suspects were well known to each other.
