Ah yes, the Home Show. Where you pay admission to have a bunch of people try to sell you stuff.
mrPG, its not just them trying to sell you stuff, they are trying to sell thier labor as well! :)

I wish I could attend, but I am out of country...oh well
home show, its a trinket fair.
Save your money folks. The "borrow and spend" era is over.
I have participated in this Home Show in the past, paid a lot of money for my booth and see no reason why the General Public should have to pay admission charges.(We quit this show for that very reason)
Were any of you at the last home show a couple of months ago? It looked like a flea market but hey it was free. If your doing home reno's why would you not pay the $8.00 or whatvever it is to see most of the suppliers in one location. Saves a lot on fuel driving all over town for a week.
Just my 2 cents.
Its kind of funny walking through there, I felt like I was in some kind of infomercial nightmare!
Don't forget to put your name in for all of those free vacation draws! They're totally legit! (rolling eyes)...
Boomer, theres no need to drive anywhere, with the internet and the telephone available to most everyone these days you can do everything from home without burning up all your fuel. Besides that, if more people stayed at home it would make our streets safer for the more responsible drivers in our town that need to be outy there.
I didn't go this year. I went once and I just can't see why I should pay money to have someone try to sell me junk. That is what alot of it is. If I'm doing reno's I can search out my own supplies and prices.
I used to be in the show but have to agree, why go pay $16 (my wife comes too) to go shopping. The show should be free, I don't think I am going again until they look at their admission rates. Maybe if they donated some of it or something. They have to be making enough money with just the booths, they used to be over $800 for a single for the weekend.
Paying admission to see advertising is ridiculous.
I agree. Anyone been out to a movie lately?
Good Idea Dragonmaster.
I don't think I'll go out to eat anymore either. The restaurant employees don't need our money to live. So just curious how you figure people driving to the Homeshow are less responsibleb than everyone else.
