Highway Upgrades Set to Begin

Prince George, B.C.- Work is about to begin on the resurfacing of three roads in the region.
 
A $5-million contract has been awarded to Okanagan Aggregates Ltd. of Armstrong to complete the approximately 36 km of paving by September, which will cover:
 
* Upper Fraser Road from the Highway 16 east intersection to the Willow River Bridge - 14 km.
* Giscome Road from the Prince George boundary to Highway 16 - 8.7 km.
* Kenny Dam Road from the pavement's start to the Vanderhoof boundary - 13 km.
 
The work is set to begin in June, involves no road closures and only minor traffic delays.
