RDFFG to Provide 9-1-1 Service to Bulkley-Nechako

Prince George, B.C.- The Regional District of Fraser Fort George has entered into an agreement with the Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako to provide 9-1-1 call answer and fire dispatch service to that region.
Once the Bulkley-Nechako’s 9-1-1 system is up and running, 9-1-1 calls generated within that District will be answered at the North District RCMP Operational Communications Centre in Prince George. Calls requiring fire/rescue agency response will be dispatched through the Prince George Fire Operations Communications Centre for fire/rescue agencies within the Bulkley- Nechako region. Ambulance calls will be forwarded to the BC Ambulance serve central dispatch centre located in Kamloops.
Bulkley-Nechako will pay the Regional District of Fraser Fort George $228,500 annually for this service.
The expansion of the service to the Bulkley –Nechako region means that in addition to its own area, the Regional District of Fraser Fort George now provides 9-1-1 services to the Cariboo, Bulkley –Nechako, and Kitimat Stikine Regional Districts.
