Two Arrested In Ft St John Death

Fort St. John, BC-  Police would like to inform the public that they have arrested two individuals in relation to the May 20th murder of Joshua Lequiere. A 28-year old female was arrested on May 21, 2010 after she turned herself in at the local police detachment.
A 31-year-old male was arrested on May 22, 2010 without incident at Fort St. John residence. Investigators believe that this was not a random incident.
 
On May 20, 2010 shortly after 6 am police attended a local Fort St. John parking lot after receiving a complaint of a disturbance.  Upon their arrival they discovered a man in the driver seat of a vehicle suffering from apparent stab wounds.
 
The BC Ambulance Service transported the man to the hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
 
The family of Josh Lequiere have been advised of the arrests and do not wish to speak with the media at this time.
 
Investigators of the Fort St. John RCMP Serious Crime Unit wish to the thank the public for their assistance.
 
Police are unable to release further details about the investigation at this time.  It is expected that a more detailed release will be distributed on May 25, 2010 following the individual's first court appearance.
