Search For 14 Year Old In Prince George Comes To a Tragic End

Prince George- The search for 14 year old Kristen Nelson has come to a tragic conclusion. Her body was discovered this afternoon in a wooded area of Johnson Rd.

Out of respect for the family, Prince George RCMP will not be releasing any further information at this time.

The family would like to thank the public for their assistance in searching for Kristen.

The young girl went missing on May 18^th from her family home; she was last seen walking along Johnson Rd at about 6.30pm. on that date.

this is a time of grief and great suffering for the family, I think its best to leave the finger pointing and speculation to a later date.

So sorry to the family of this young girl.

This is the third attack on women in this city in the last 2 months. The woman beaten and sexually assaulted in the park. Another woman attacked by two men who tried to drag her into a truck by the hair. She got away thank God! Now this young girl. Women in this city better be very careful. The police seem to busy busting pot growers because none of these men have been found. This is becoming more and more dangerous. Please be careful and do not go out alone, especially at night.

Yes....so many people are so quick to jump to conclusions about things they have no facts or information on. The loss of Kristen's life is a tragedy and something her family will never recover from. May they know there are many people who are thinking of them all and send heartfelt love and sympathy to each and every one. May you rest in God's arms Kristen....surrounded by love.

I did not know that other women were attacked in this city lately? It may not be related but thank you for the warning anyway. I will pass this information along to my wife and daughter.
