Warning of Scam

Prince George RCMP have issued a warning about a con artist who is scamming local residents.

Here's how it works:

He shows up at your door and begs for your help. He says he needs a ride to the tow yard to pick up his vehicle as his girlfriend was in an accident. Then he asks to borrow some money to help pay the tow bill.

What a surprise.. he does not show up at your house again to give you back the money.

I guess a person has to make money somehow. Campbell's thousands of jobs he created only pay $6-$8 per hour. Tough to pay the rent at that wage.

Their is no excuse to steal from others if you are at all motivated you can make it work.Some people have money and waste it then beg for more.

Ask to take his picture and then say no thanks, or sorry the wife/girl friend has the keys and bank card.

A scammer is only successful if he has victims! How sad that our society is so full of them, victims that is....

These scam/scum artists take advantage of good people who want to help somebody who is urgently asking for assistance.

When a person comes along who is truly in trouble and needs a hand he/she will find that it will be that much harder to get.

Scam, sham. How about the RCMP issuing a picture of the Scam artists and posting them at the local Save On store, the Parkwood merchants and the PGRH where these types typically work the neighborhood.

I know it's hard for some to swallow but---God said to help your fellow man; He didn't say to be stupid! My wife and I were stopped on the street early one morning downtown in front of the white spot by one of our fine first nations people. He asked for 2 bucks for a cup of coffee. I thought about that and said "come into the white spot and I'll buy you a breakfast and a coffe" He then called me a stupid %!!$8*8*. There's always a test for a scam.

He refused?

Can't blame him too much - in my opinion the place is way overdue for a complete renovation.

They just did one in Kelowna which was also totally worn out from all the traffic.
