Drugs or Booze Played No Role in Double Fatal Crash

Prince George, B.C.- RCMP are releasing further details on the deadly crash that claimed two lives on Sunday on Highway 16 , 15 kilometers east of Vanderhoof.

RCMP say a 60 year old woman from Burns Lake , was traveling east on highway 16 when the vehicle she was operating, a 2006 Chrysler Sebring, crossed the center line and collided with a 1998 Pontiac Sunfire. The west bound Pontiac was being driven by a 47 year old man from Terrace.  The crash claimed the lives of both drivers.

Although police continue their investigation into this crash, it is not yet known why the Chrysler crossed the center line. At this time the police indicate  they have  no evidence to suggest that alcohol, or drugs played a role in this crash. 

Police continue to ask the public for anyone who may have witnessed this deadly crash to call the RCMP or Crimestoppers.  At this time all names are being withheld until all next of kin have been notified.
