Hire a Youth Week Underway In P.G.

Prince George, B.C.-Today marks the start of Hire a Youth Week in Prince George.
Today, through Friday, at various locations throughout Prince George, the Prince George Service Canada Centre for Youth (SCCY) will be hosting a job Search related scavenger hunt, encouraging youth to gain valuable experience for their summer job search. To sign up youth just need to drop by the Prince George Service Canada Centre for youth and register with a Youth Service Officer.
“This year, we are continuing our tradition of helping young people find summer employment,” said Kyle Flannagan, Youth Service Officer. “Hire a Youth Week highlights the importance of getting that first job for some young people, or finding career-related work experience for others.”
Employers interested in hiring youth, or youth looking for summer employment can visit the Prince George SCCY between 8:30am and 4:00pm at 1336 4th Avenue, call (250) 561-5200 ext. 329, or fax (250) 561-5271. Job postings are available online at www.jobbank.gc.ca., under “Student Job Search”, “British Columbia”, “Prince George Omineca Area”, and then “Prince George.”
