Now the city of PG can fund another study or two on what to do about the poor condition of our roads. They'll also have to travel to other 'winter cities' to see how those people deal with crumbling roads, and to "get fresh ideas"
metalman.
Surely you think our fine council and mayor would be a little more wise than that. How about purchase some more crumbling buildings BAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
What about the 20cent tax we pay to the oil companies over and above what other parts of Canada are paying for the same fuel... even though we have a refinery right here in town. The oil companies think the 'west' has money, so they charge us 20cents more than in Eastern Canada... and yet we have the lowest minimum wage in the country. Make no mistake that 20cents you pay for every liter of fuel you use is a tax for the oil companies to make their profits even bigger.

BP recently said even if the gulf oil spill costs $30 billion it shouldn't effect their profitability and dividends to shareholders because they have enough room built in to their revenue to adjust for any costs this oil spill will incur. People should be asking how that is... is it because we are gouged and they do it as legally as they avoided proper protocol for safety in the gulf catastrophe? Of course because they make their own rules and essentially print their own money... very few politicians will ever address this because all the political parties are owned subsidiaries of multinationals and we are in a 'market economy' marketed by hedge fund speculators with 60-1 leverage on derivatives that cost pennies to the dollar. Its all fixed to sap the wealth out of the working class IMO.
And the rich get richer and the poor are even poorer. Where's Robin hood when you need him! ( yes I know he's fictional)
gas is Sask right now is in the 90 cent range why would we be a dollar seven???
