Prince George- A 32 year old man with 46 previous criminal code convictions, has been charged with five thefts and damage to vehicles, along with resisting arrest and assaulting several police officers.

The whole thing started Friday at 10:30 pm when police responded to a man breaking into five vehicles in a restaurant parking lot downtown.

Two police officers attempted to arrest the man after they discovered him walking,  with what they believed to be stolen property. The two policemen had to call for back up, and a third,  and a fourth officer, were called in to subdue the man. Police say he was high on drugs.

He claimed following the take down that he needed medical attention , so he was taken to University Hospital. There he attempted to escape and another police officer and an ambulance attendant attempted to bring him under control. He eventually was tazered in order to bring him under control. In the process of trying to escape the man knocked a wheel -chair bound patient to the floor in the emergency room.

More charges of escape, resisting arrest and assault of a police officer are expected.

mmmm lets see there are probally some people out there that are saying oh this poor man....I say public stoning...what about the poor people that have damaged cars...$300-$500 deductibles to fix there cars-trucks...lets through this nut in a swamp with blackflies and a granola bar...but no we will send him to the hilton on the hill and let him out in a couples of weeks to maybe smash your car...
Longer sentences on his earlier criminal code convictions would have reduced the number of crimes he could commit.

The whole idea of putting people behind bars is because they broke the law. If they are in jail it naturally follows they will not be committing crimes.

To have 46 criminal code convictions by the age of 32, and still be walking around town committing crimes doesnt say much for our legal system. Once he is processed for to-days crimes, and if he is convicted, he will have over 50 convictions, and you can rest assured he will be out walking around by next spring if not sooner.

C'mon...this has to be police brutality! With 46 previous convictions the cops should have known this guy and that he had a drug problem. Was there really a need to arrest him and add to his problems? Why couldn't he just be given a ticket or court papers for later. Since when does it take 4 cops to arrest one man.....unless you are in PG or Van Airport. I am waiting for the video! This guys mother is set to get 6 figures soon !
should execute the bugger!!!!
Boon, this is definetly your calling.
He's been charged, whats his name?
Why the heck has he been on the streets this long??? Wow!!
In Roman times they would board you for crimes like that. A board is carried on the shoulders of some men and the criminal is straddled on the board with the sharp edges on the top and the legs firmly pulled down as he is paraded through town for everyone to see who he is. There were few repeat offenders back then.
name please
The reason these "mommy didn't love me" scumbags are on the street, is because there is no room at the inn. The jails are usually quite busy. We need more of them but we the taxpayer don't have the stomach for higher taxes to A) build more prisons and B) pay for the costs associated with incarceration.

Maybe it's time the Feds privatized the prisons. Perhaps a corporation could run them more efficiently, and would also build more prisons so that Judges can send these jerks where they belong.
You people must be your mothers wet dream then. Never in trouble. Never piss anyone off. You people judge and jury now eh. Hard nose people shouldn't throw stones in glass houses eh.
So you're all suggesting that they should give him the ol' 'Clay Whilley' and be done with it?
One day this person will piss off the wrong guy....
"One day this person will piss off the wrong guy.."

One can only hope.
Too funny downtownchris!
This scumbag has a rather large criminal history and you come on here attacking those that post their opinions on what they think should happen to him.

How long have you been buddies with this guy Chrissy? Are you upset that your source of income has been dried up until he gets released? Why would you think of defending this guy?

Sunshine, they already tazed the loser and Claytons last name isn't spelled that way.
How many chances should the cops have given the crackhead Sunshine?
I'll bet more than one judge wanted to park his butt in jail but couldn't do to space constraints. This country needs to have a frank discussion about whether we are willing to build jails that are based on a punitive rather than rehabilitive model. To me there are three types of criminals. Mentally ill people who offend but aren't criminally responsible and can't get the treatment they need. Shame on us for not providing proper care.

People who screw up and can be fixed. Drunk drivers, guy who robs a store because kids need milk etc. They go to the Hilton on the hill.

The third group this guy probably falls into. Hardasses. Their prison should be punitive. A very unfun place. Green baloney sandwiches for dinner every day. TV tuned into the CBC all day long. Several inmates to a cell. A place you truly never want to go back to. But, we're Canadian and we don't like to see anyone suffer, unless of course they're an innocent homeowner whose house get's trashed by this guy.
You are right Pylot. I heard that Williamhead Pen is so over crowded that the inmates there have to call a day in advance to get a 'T' time for the golf course. Hard time.

And chrislivingdowntown you are right too. It is the public's fault for parking their cars in the restaurant parking lot ....they should have used the drive-thru.

I am confident this guy will plead out to the least serious crime crown counsel can muster up, get defended at public expense and a judge will sentence him to the harshest conditions of probation. C'mon...he has only had 46 bad days in 32 years of life!
Locking him in a cage isn't going to do nothing but make the dude crazy then he'll be out and maybe shoot someone next. Maybe the same people that say he needs to be in a cage eh. If that happens I would laugh my but off because it's those who lock people in a cage need to be in a cage with the crazies to knock some sense into stupid ideas that have nothing to do with helping folks with problems. Maybe for all those who feel that putting everyone in a cage should be the ones put in a cage to teach them a few lessons about humanity.
Build the cage and they will come !
Boon your daughter dated this dude I know. I hear you got a good size pension from the NDP Sickening. Your daughter is a chef and a big mouth. To me Boon you should keep your big mouth shut. What you have to say doesn't matter.
Good theory chrislivingdowntown.....if logic fails, try a personal attack. But I am using my fingers, not my mouth, to express my opinion which I am allowed to do in this great and free country. So here is another finger you can't hear, special, just for you....I've turned it up. Enjoy chrissy ! Your cage is calling !
Once again I read chrislivingdowntown's posts and I am not quite sure of what he is trying to say.The reason it takes four cops to arrest this guy is because they are not legally allowed to just walk up to him and knock his teeth out. They are suppose to try to restrain him with as little harm to the criminal as possible. This does not always happen as we all know, but I am fairly positive this is the reason it takes so many cops to take down some whack job.I really think this guy deserved to be tasered, after his performance on Friday night.I just wish I had been at the hospital to get a shot in on this guy.
Highly Boon lol. My brother he's a political Scientist and his wife is a Spanish Professor. Me I left a abusive home twenty one years back to do it on my own. My sister are factory worker and Hair dresser. Being here in BC on my own is no minor feet. But someone like you born with a silver spoon down your throat wouldn't know that would ya. Nor did your daughter. At least her boyfriend respected me for that alone. Your daughter was to stupid to figure it out.
My brother gets paid to run for you. My sisters they are raising family of their own in Southern Ontario.Myself been working and granted full disability for surviving S.I.D.S as a child which developed into Borderline Personality Disorder Not Otherwise Specified as an adult. I have a few projects going and do well. I guess I am more like my brother then I like to admit. So I love politics and have no problems with getting in the mud.
May very well see a LeBlanc as Prime Minister lady so don't kid yourself.
Just remember that story I told on here about good Ol Solomon LeBlanc. First man to live with a tube down his throat because he was taken off Vimy Ridge then given a Kings Pardon. Hmmm Just remember that it was my family like mine that saved this nation in the first place. While his son went on to become a merchant navy and then my grand mother British Royal Navy. Seems like it's family like mine that built the roads and built that fancy home you so love. That is who should be running this nation and we will I can assure you that.
And another thing. A number of so called Professionals in Mental health and a lawyer that would say in a court of law that something like surviving S.I.D.S couldn't of happened and then say my Dad beat me is just an insult beyond insult. Knowing full well it made the papers twelve years apart is just slander and now I have learned how to be just that and learned from the best.
Damn you Jones.
