Integris Credit Union's Dan Wingham, Communication Officer and Lorne Calder, Chief Financial Officer present a $8995 sponsorship cheque to Les Smith, Director of Programming with the Child Development Centre.
Prince George, B.C.- The Child Development Centre in Prince George has received the funding for the purchase of a special "Tiger Cub" powered chair for children 18 - 36 months of age.
The Tiger Cub will be used to assess readiness for driving a powered mobility device and will be loaned to numerous children to try over consecutive 3-4 month periods.
The use of this wheelchair will assist CDC therapy staff to determine whether a child is ready to operate a powered mobility device, thus allowing the children to participate more readily in everyday activities and improving the children's quality of life.
