Mt Robson Crash Victim Flown To Vancouver

Valemount- A woman from Australia has been flown to Vancouver General Hospital in Vancouver from University hospital in Prince George after the motor home she was riding in collided with a transport truck on highway 16 near the exit to the Mt Robson store at Hargraves Rd.

The accident occurred when one motor home pulled onto highway 16, a second following him pulled out right behind him without noticing a transport truck coming down the hill from the east.

The Transport attempted to miss the vehicles but collided with the second motor home. The drive of that motor home was taken to Jasper as was the truck driver with non- life threatening injuries.

 The accident closed highway 16 for more than 10 hours as RCMP and crews attempted to assist the injured and allow for a helicopter to land to pick up the injured.

The highway was reopened late last night to two way traffic.

The female passenger from Australia is listed as suffering from serious head injuries. She is listed as in serious condition.
