Walls Trial to Proceed

After 2 1/2 days of a preliminary inquiry former Fred Walls and Sons Ford dealership owner, Doug Walls, and that company's former Chief Financial Officer Mike Millard, will proceed to trial.

Both are facing charges of defrauding CIBC of more than $5,000 in connection with a cheque kiting scheme in the days before the dealership collapsed.

Millard has chosen trial in a Supreme Court before Judge and Jury, while Walls has opted for a trial before Provincial Court Judge alone.

Walls and Millard will return to court at the end of the month to have trial dates set.
