Ever notice that Timmies always seems to manage to scoop up an exclusive contract for most big government functions?
Why them?
How do they do it, when everyone else is left out?
Something odd about that.
Somebody have a connection within government or what?
How bout the fact that it's simply good coffee and reasonably priced?
No way Imorge!
Starbucks waaay better coffee!
And they actually cook things...unlike Timmies...who serve barely cooked dough for sandwiches, and cornstarch soup!
They also serve par-baked donuts that were made god knows where!
Do they serve cop-cakes a Tims?
;-)
Starbucks is expensive and it tastes like engine oil. Tim's however is convenient, cheep, and tastes good.
One of the girls at Tims told me the doughnuts are now shipped here half cooked from the Phillipines or the equivaqlent.
Ha ha...I think someone is pulling your leg supertech. Eagle, you got that right.
I dunno ANdy.....all the soups and chilli's I've had at TH are pretty good.
Bucks is way over priced for what they sell, but I guess its the "chic" place to go, eh?
Imorge...the donuts are shipped partly cooked from god knows where.
And a lot of other stuff too.
They all do that now, but they rarely talk about it.
People also tend to think Timmies is a canadian company...it's not, but they try to come across like they are.
Another example...McDonalds...they even buy their mystery beef and buns out of the country!
I have a family member who owned a Tims.(a horror story in itself!)
You're right about Starbucks though,it is expensive,I just like their coffee better...yum!

What has Starbucks ever given back to the community?? Nothing that I know of. Overpriced corporate greed is the only thing I can think of.
Tim's on the other hand, gives so much for the kids that many sports programs simply wouldn't be possible without their donations. TimBits hockey, soccer, and Little Britches Rodeo are the examples that quickly come to mind due to my own involvement, however I'm certain that there are others as well. Is their business model perfect in our local opinion? Probably not, but they still add to our community and their coffee's pretty good too.
Timmys? Nah. Never mind the coffee and doughnuts. It's a social thing.
