here is a story for your downtown bussiness association ...and also the new police force downtown...I will never shop in the downtown again and actually it might be safer there at night than in the daytime
omg, never sure is a long time. Just maybe we might be able to reclaim our downtown back.

Seeking witnesses... that would be credible witnesses.
Am I reading this right? A wanted man was stabbed?
I will still shop downtown, I will just be more carefull. 3rd and George, is that not by the needle exchange and the Fire Pit drop in Center??Where was the stabber and the stabbed from ?? The City is back to shoving the downtown's problems up the hill to Queensway ST. We do not want the big new all in one Health Center the City has planned to help the problem people from all over Canada. Pay attention neighbours because I am sure they won't want it downtown and they will screw us again. The more services we provide the more problems we will have and they do not belong in residential neighbourhoods.
I went to the farmer's market (aka the craft fair) downtown last Saturday and had to try an explain to my 5 year old why there was a crazy woman screaming and yelling at people. I don't mind explaining to my kids why certain drugs are bad but I don't like the need to feel defensive while I'm downtown. I won't go back either.
I used to care about saving/recreating the downtown core. I went to meetings, listened to the people that wanted to make a diference, but now, not so much.
Its sad, but after so long, it becomes discouraging. Its the same old thing, year after year, the downtown area is dirty, and empty for the most part. Except of course for the inner city tumbleweeds blowing by (garbage, papers, needle pieces etc...)
There is a downtown association, which seems to be headed by a short sighted moron, with a complete lack of vision, so nothing get accomplished there.
I never thought I'd say this, but yay College Heights! The new downtown.
I bet if they scooped up all the riff raff downtown in a blitz they would find 30% of them are wanted on outstanding warrants for something or other. (drug related to be sure)

But then what's the point if you scoop em up and just let em again.....
Maybe the stabber should notify the cops in case this guy was wanted by Crimestoppers. Reward, maybe?

College Heights , should be taking in some of the problem people being sent here, from who knows where, they should plan the BIG new Health Center in College Heights, we would like to share.
