Cattle Rustling In Quesnel

Quesnel- Quesnel RCMP are looking into a case of cattle rustling in which a steer was shot in the Kersley Rd area near Quesnel and only a portion of the meat was taken.
 
 Police say the shooting took place June 23rd, when the steer was shot and left in a pasture. The entire animal had not been butchered, just a portion.

 

Police are seeking your assistance, if you saw a suspicious vehicle or people in that area prior to June 23rd. You are asked to call police at 250-992-9211

desperate times for these people. I hope the rest of the steer could be salvaged and given too the Sally anne.
Theres $600 or $700.00 lost for the rancher. If the carcass wasn't properly bled out by the scumbag poacher, the remaining meat would not be much good anyway.

The real sad part is--that beef was worth 1200 dollars not so long ago. It isn't worth feeding them any more.
If the rest of the meat was still edible why would it be given to the Sally Ann? I'd be thinking it would go into my freezer if it were mine.
