Prince George, B.C.- The Mayor of Prince George, Dan Rogers, along with a representative from Tourism Prince George, will be the guests of the Classic Rock 101 FM radio station in Vancouver next week to set the record straight about Prince George.
The radio station had been running an inaccurate and tasteless contest about Prince George. The winner of the contest got two tickets to the Elton john concert in Prince George, air fare and accommodation.
The wording of the contest has been changed following what the radio station calls “ a meeting with our legal department” and instead of referring to Prince George as the arm pit of the interior the City is now referred to as the jewel of the interior.
No matter what , Opinion 250 is still running it’s contest about why Prince George is the preferred site for concerts. Entries will be accepted until midnight tonight. The winner will be drawn on Canada Day. To win, you must be a resident of Prince George and you must offer a comment as to why concerts in Prince George are better than in Vancouver.
The winner will take home a $100 dollars.
