On July 4, 2010 at approximately 00:48 hrs, Prince George RCMP , BC Ambulance Services and the Pineview Fire Department responded to a Motor Vehicle accident in the 6400 block of Bendixon Road.

 

A pick up truck was travelling westbound when the driver lost control and the vehicle left the roadway and struck a power pole. All three occupants in the truck were injured and transported to the University Hospital of Northern British Columbia.

 

A 27 yr old male passenger succumbed to his injuries and died at the hospital. Police are not releasing his name at this time due to notification of kin.

 

RCMP advise that alcohol and speed were believed to be contributing factors in this collision and the investigation is still on going.
