Treasure Heads to Moncton

Prince George, B.C.- Prince George’s Alyxandria Treasure is one of eight junior athletes from B.C. ( and the only one from North of Abbotsford) who will represent Canada at the 13th International Association of Athletics Federation World Junior Championships, July 19-25 in Moncton, New Brunswick.
Alyxandria will compete in the high jump as part of the 59-member Canadian team that will join more than 1,400 athletes aged 19 and under - plus coaches and team officials from 170 countries - to compete in 25 different track and field events.
Many athletes achieve seasonal-best performances at the World Juniors, and will gain international competitive experience in preparation for future international events, including the 2011 Pan American Games in Mexico and the 2012 Olympic Summer Games in London.
