Since when is this more important than serious world events? He was 80. Did they think he would live forever?
And, while I am at it, since when did teams have "owners"? When I played sports, teams were composed of members who "owned" themselves. A sports team would seem to be a natural venue for a cooperative rather than a toy for a multi-millionaire.
