Prince George, B.C.- There is still a chance for you to get tickets to the Elton John concert in Prince George Friday night and help out a good cause.
Sheri Grantham is an investment advisor in Prince George, she is also one of the top fundraisers for the SPCA in town.
Sheri had an extra pair of tickets to the sold out Elton John concert and her husband suggested that rather than just offer them up for sale, how about using them as a means to raise funds for the SPCA?
Sheri embraced the idea, has put her tickets up for auction, and will use the full auction paid amount (including the face value of the tickets) to put towards her Paws for a Cause fundraising event. She takes part in the Paws for a Cause event each year and has topped the list for the amount of money raised by individuals. This year, she is hoping her efforts will result in about $3,000 with the Elton John tickets forming a strong foundation for that goal.
Here are the details on the tickets:
- The winning bidder will receive their tickets on Friday July 16, 2010.
- They are “best seat” tickets in the center stage section of the auditorium and usually within rows 8-15 of the stage. They will be top price tickets.
- The bids close on Thursday July 15, 2010 at 6 pm.
- You will be notified if you are the winning bid Thursday evening.
- If you wish to know the current high bid –email Sheri and she will let you know (as of noon Wednesday the high bid was $500 dollars).
- The starting bid is $350 for the pair of tickets. This is the face value including fees.
- You will not receive a tax receipt for these tickets.
- Bids are to be sent to Sheri via email to: sheri.grantham@cibc.ca
- Please be sure to include in the email your full name and phone number.
