Building Permits Up in June

Prince George, B.C.- The number of building permits in Prince George last month was more than twice the value of permits issued in the same month in 2009.
In 2009 there were 70 permits with a total value of $9.759 million dollars issued. Last month, there were 83 permits issued with a total value of $21.87 million.
The year to date values are also much higher this year than for the same period in 2009.
So far this year, there have been 325 permits with a total value of 54.2 million, compared to 226 permits with a value of $28.04 million during the first six months of last year.
Highlights for last month include:
2388 Ferry Avenue, Interior and Exterior Renovations, Tim Horton’s, $350,000.
555 Central Street West, Interior Renovations, Save-On Foods, $1,200,000.
3330 22nd Avenue, Prince George Technical Centre, College of New Caledonia, $14,055,153.
7364 Hart Highway, Multi-Family Housing (15 units), Country Seniors Community, $1,235,520.
543 and 555 Alward Street, 1 New Duplex, $374,976.
15 Single Family Dwellings, $3,624,173.
