Collision with Moose Claims Life of Vanderhoof Man

Prince George, B.C.- A 38 year old Vanderhoof man  has died from injuries suffered  when  the vehicle he was driving  hit a moose last night on  Highway 16 near Telechick Road.

The man was alone in the  1990 Toyota Camry when it struck a moose just before midnight Saturday night.  The   man suffered critical head and chest injuries and was transported to the University of Northern B.C. Hosptial where he succumbed to those injuries this afternoon.

The police continue their investigation. The name of the man is being withheld at this time, pending notification of next of kin.

How very sad.
All the fuss about our "bear problem", then this. So sad is right.
It might be time to ban small cars. I hope this man didn't have young kids waiting for him at home.
Ban small cars? The same can happen to SUVs and pick ups as well.
