Cancer Centre Parkade Complete

Prince George, B.C.- The new parkade for the University Hospital of Northern B.C. and the Northern Cancer Centre, is complete. The paving has been done, and the lines painted  to mark the parking stalls.
It is expected staff will start parking in the new parkade next week.
This means one thing. Construction of the actual Cancer Centre can begin very soon.
The construction of the Centre was part two of the plan as the site for the new facility is the old parking lot on the north side of the University of Northern B.C. Hospital. The parkade had to be completed first in order to clear that property for construction.
You can expect to hear about a “ground breaking ceremony” for the actual  Cancer Centre soon.

Nice structure. Good job.
It is nice and simple ..... nice to see no wooden trusses and wooden floor deck used ..... LOL

Thursday morning at 11 rings a bell. :-)
Well done!

I would never recommend using wooden floors ands trusses in a parking garage! Cars leak combustible fluids all the time...one spark and the whole thing burns down! The more concrete the better!

I believe gus was joking PrinceGeorge. It seems the positive thinking crowd jumps to the conclusion that everything put on this site is negative, and that they must respond.I don't consider myself to be either a positive or negative thinking person, just a realistic person.
"LOL" does not mean "Land of Lincoln" ... :-)

"LOL" means "Laughing out Loud" ... :-)

of course I could use *wink* ,,, or ;-)

*smile*

6'10 clearance ....
8' wide stalls

hope nobody has a dually or a newer 4x4 truck with a topper that wants to park in it
I just hope L&M was not on the design force. What a pain that parking lot is at Parkwood and the BOM on Central.
I looked up LOL in the Urban Dictionary:

-----------------------------------------

It's original definition was "Laughing out loud" (also written occasionally as "Lots of Laughs"), used as a brief acronym to denote great amusement in chat conversations. Now, it is overused to the point where nobody laughs out loud when they say it. In fact, they probably don't even give a shit about what you just wrote. More accurately, the acronym "lol" should be redefined as "Lack of laughter." Depending on the chatter, its definition may vary. The list of its meanings includes, but is not limited to: 1) "I have nothing worthwhile to contribute to this conversation." 2) "I'm too lazy to read what you just wrote so I'm typing something useless in hopes that you'll think I'm still paying attention." 3) "Your statement lacks even the vaguest trace of humor but I'll pretend I'm amused." 4) "This is a pointless acronym I'm sticking in my sentence just because it's become so engraved into my mind that when chatting, I MUST use the meaningless sentence-filler 'lol.'"

Our friend and Premier Mr **HST**Carbon Tax**Toll Bridge**Gambling expansion** Campbell will be here for the ground breaking ceremony.

We are being blessed.

Gordo will be there 11am thursday.
The rumor is there are less spots in the parcade then there was in the parking lot. There was already inadequate amout of parking in the old lot and with the new cancer clinic comes more staff. Course alot of the parking issuses could be alleviated if there was a decent bussing system in Prince George.
