Fake $100 Dollar Bills Surfacing in Prince George

Prince George, B.C. -  Bogus $100 dollar bills are circulating in Prince George.

RCMP  say they  responded to two  seperate complaints of counterfeit  $100 dollar bills which person tried to  use at local businesses.  In  each  incident,  the bogus bill carried the same serial number and the fake was  detected by  store staff.

RCMP area  reminding local businesses to be diligent in chacking currency for authenticity  and would like to  hear from anyone who may  have infomration on the making of,  poession, or passing of  these counterfeit bills.

As merchants continue to increase prices on the back of the HST, those bogus bills become closer in value to the real ones.
More taxes and keeping weed outlawed will keep those bogus bills coming. Good show
