New Evacuation Order Issued For Meldrum Twan Lake Area

Meldrum Twan Lake, BC – The Cariboo Regional District has issued a new release for the Meldrum Twan Lake area just north of Meldrum Creek.
 
The boundary includes all residents. Approximately 76 residences are affected by this Evacuation Order, while another 60 homes are in the Evacuation Alert zone.
 
The Evacuation Alert area is defined as west of the Fraser River, north of Alexandria Reserve #3 and 3A to an area approximately across the river from the community of Kersley.
 
The Evacuation Order area is based on the following boundaries;
·                West of the Fraser River to the existing Meldrum Creek evacuation area, continuing west to Stum Lake and all areas north to the Alexandria Reserve #3 and #3A.
 
For residents under Evacuation Order, an Emergency Social Services (ESS) Reception Centre has been set up at The Overlander Convention Centre located at 1118 Lakeview Crescent Williams Lake, BC.
 
For residents wishing to evacuate to Quesnel, residents should report to the Quesnel Twin Arenas at 500 Barlow Avenue. Residents under the Evacuation Order are requested to report to their closest Reception Centre where trained Emergency Social Services members will be available to help.

So this morning some smoke is obviously drifting over PG again. It started off with a nice sunrise.

At 10am the recording was around 90 for pm2.5 at Gladstone school

At 11 it was 69 for pm 2.5 at Plaza 400
