Williams Lake, B.C. - There are 123 active fires burning within the Cariboo Fire Centre’s boundaries and firefighters are making some progress. 

 

The two largest fires within the Pelican Lake complex fire  are  now 20% contained . The Place Complex fire at Dog Creek is now 30% contained and has not shown significant growth in the past 24 hours. Sprikler protection units have been set up on all homes in IR#2 and 12 homes within IR#1

 

As for the Meldrum complex , structural protection personnel will focus on residences in Meldrum Creek. There was not any significant growth on these fires yesterday.

 

Meantime, crews working on the Bull complex fires continue to work north of Highway 20 on the east and west flanks. More firefighters, heavy equipment and support staff are on site today. The fires have been growing in a south-easterly direction.
