100 mile House – Two young men have died after the ATV they were riding on left a logging road and plowed into the ditch.

On August 14th, 2010, at 9:30 a.m., 100 Mile House RCMP responded to a report of an A.T.V. collision at the 63 kilometre mark of the 1500 Road, North-East of Lac la Hache.

Two young males, approximately 19 years of age and believed to be residents of the Lower Mainland, were discovered approximately 10 feet from the north edge of the road.

Investigation showed that the single A.T.V. on which they were both riding, left the road and impacted several trees.
Both riders of the A.T.V. suffered extreme trauma injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene.

Liquor and speed are believed to have been factors in this collision.

The names of the two deceased are being withheld pending the notification of the next of kin.

The 100 Mile House RCMP and BC Coroner's Service are continuing their investigation into the death of the two men.

I'm tired of reading statements like this, "Liquor and speed are believed to have been factors in this collision."

Will people ever learn?
No,people will never learn as a lot of people like to be free to screw up. so don't worry yourself about it. people get killed doing all sorts of things ( leading cause is sitting on the couch staring at a TV) drunk or sober!
You can fix ugly but it is dam hard to fix stupid. So look on the bright side. They won't have to worry about the HST.
Re: faxman "Will people ever learn?"

Yeah they do learn, but unfortunately they usually die learning.

Such a sad sad shame.
