Cluculz Lake, B.C.- RCMP from Vanderhoof detachment are on scene of the latest fire at Cluculz Lake, but the investigation is too fresh to say if there are concerns of arson.

A fire ripped through a cabin on Meier Road this morning, the building was fully engulfed at 6:30 this morning when the volunteer fire department was called to the scene. The cabin was located next door to the one which burned to the ground just one week ago. "I had four firefighters on scene" says Cluculz Lake Volunteer Fire Department Chief Gail Poisson.

She says there is no obvious cause for this fire and she doesn't want to  jump to any conclusions about what might have  sparked this fire, although she is aware the cabin was undergoing some renovations. "This is now officially an RCMP investigation" says Poisson.

Investigators from North District RCMP and the Forensic Identification team from the Prince George Detachment are assisting in the investigation.

Luckily there was no one in the cabin at the time, but the location and the timing are raising some eyebrows.

The cause of the fire last week has not been determined, although  there was some hydraulic oil being stored on site.

This has exactly what to do with what? Are you trying to say the hyd oil may have been the cause?

There was probably some engine oil, gear oil, transmission fluid,(oil) diesel and gasoline in the vehicles parked nearby. Maybe they were the culprits, LOL.
Yeah the mention of hyd oil is kinda lame... The article on the first fire said the owner had been out doing some painting though, so more likely it was rags/paint thinner that was the culprit.
