Regional District of Fraser Fort George Rescinds Evacuation Alert

Prince George, B.C.- The Regional District of Fraser-Fort George has rescinded the Evacuation Alert for the area south on Blackwater Road in the Punchaw Lake area to the Blackwater River and west to the Regional District of  Fraser-Fort George’s Electoral Area C boundary.

There are no longer any evacuation alerts or orders within the Regional District of Fraser-Fort George. The Regional District has also deactivated its Emergency Operations Centre.

The Regional District will continue to monitor fire activity in the area. In spite of recent rain, there are still areas within the Prince George Fire Centre that have a high or moderate fire danger rating. Residents are

reminded to continue to be ready in the event that an evacuation is required, and to exercise extreme caution with campfires.
