Prince George, B.C.- RCMP in Prince George are tightening the noose on gang activity in the city.

Late yesterday, members of the RCMP executed a search warrant in the 2200 block of Oak Street on a residence police allege is linked to the Game Tight Soldiers, also known as the GTS.  The residence  is just a couple of blocks from where a young man was gunned down in broad daylight a couple of weeks ago.

Police encountered a heavily barricaded front door  but gained access through a sliding glass door. Both the the front and back of the house were being monitored with cameras.

Three adult males and one adult female were arrested as a result of the warrant. A search of the residence produced crack cocaine, cash and an assortment of drug trafficking paraphernalia.

One of the males arrested was noted to have a tattoo on his forearm  which read “GTS with the letters P G underneath. ( see photo at right)

Police say several of the people suspected of gang activity have tattoos on their body which read either GTS PG or GTS EV which is believed to represent East Vancouver, the area from which the gang is believed to have originated.

Barricaded front door but has a sliding glass door, duh.
Brilliant.
Send these peole out of PG and bann them from entereing the city.
I can't stop laughing, this is hilarious!
Some more dumb criminals for the Hilton on the hill, and they're still not all up there!
Hey, lets barricade the front door, no not the sliding door, dummy, we have to go have a smoke out there.............
Wonder if the nice police dog went in first,
get to chew on a bone or two? Ain't no brains, just some bone.
Lamest gang name ever.
Hope harper hurries up and gets the supermax prisons built soon. Hoping the cells are 4 by 6 feet with nothing but a concrete slab to sit on and feed the scums dry bread and water. Keep them in there too for a few decades. Might make paying HST a little more palatable if the money got used for supermax prisons. Bulid lots of them in the most remote places and just lock these scumz in there all together and let them kill each other in there. Lame ass justice system GO HARPER GO.
Those stupid enough to wear their criminal affiliations on their bodies deserve to have the crap kicked out of them by any cop or civilian who spots them, no questions asked. And don't give me that bull about "innocent until proven guilty", because that stamp on your forearm makes you guilty.
Maybe those dorks with the cool tattoos, if they don't get killed getting older can spend some evenings on how to redo their tattoos. Or looking for a girlfriend with the same initials. And maybe "mom" placed somewhere on their arm. Dorks. Not gang members. Mentally challenged ninnies. They didn't even have the sense of an old lady to use a broomstick to "lock" the sliding glass door. It is to laugh.
It's really sad that we don't have hard labor for criminals. Our city could be polished and sparkling if we actually made criminals PAY for their actions. Are we content to feed and clothe them and keep them warm with nothing to do?? I'm not! Make em sweat 8 hours, give them some gruel and put them to work for another 4 hours before they get sleep. Won't have any need for jails if we punish them.
would be nice to know where these tattos come from!!! I dont want to end up getting some ink from someone who does gang tattoos!!
Super I totaly agree. You said it best.
When I worked as a prison guard in the mid seventies, the "director" (not the warden) took all the "inmates" into the auditorium and explained to them that they didn't have to work, but only had to serve time. Apparently nothing has changed. What is old is new again. (Hawaii 50)? Ho hum.
I like what mattyc said.
How ABOUT SOME PUNISHMENT FOR CRIMINALS?
It sickens me to see how well cared for the inmates of the prisons in Canada are, worse, their care and safety is mandated by law. The only punishment they receive is being locked up with scumbags, and not being free to roam the streets and make life worse for average people.
metalman.
I find it simply amazing that that there is no compassion for these wayward folks. Obviously these gang members who have chosen a life of ( alleged )crime have some how not had all the benefits of most of us who grew up in middle class BC. They were most likely driven to this lifestyle by poor upbringing from parents who were for one reason or an other underprivileged as well. (Didn't feel working for a living and prefer to live on the dole... Welfare )
May be they were not hugged on a regular basis like the rest of us. Maybe they had A.D.D and found it hard to concentrate in school. Of course that is the 90's term. In the 60's they were just known as retards. Maybe they were stigmatized by having to were hand me down or value village clothing and found the pressure to great and turned to a world of crime.
It is a well known fact that all folks that came through the great depression in the 30's where there were no jobs and no money and most folks had patches on their cloths all turned to a life of crime.

No instead of ostracizing these folks even further we should build facilities that they can check into like a hotel type facility where they can learn a trade at their leisure and possibly some of the forms of recreational activities that some of us over privileged middle class enjoy such as golf, fishing, hockey...
Maybe we as compassionate citizens should have an "Adopt a Gang Banger" week where we could befriend a wayward gang member for a week and show them a better life in the hopes that a few kind words and some good advice such as " Crime doesn't pay" will cause them to want a better life for themselves. This could give them the incentive to pull themselves out of the gutter and become productive members of society.

Then again maybe we could feel compassion and adopt the Soviet method. Much cheaper.
Quicky Trial and a 9MM.
The director also said (while I was there) that inmates are entitled to a "Canadian Food Guide" nutritional meal three times a day. And you thought just bread and water? You silly goose! This is Canada!
Logic in the penal system in the mid 70's was that the "con" didn't have a puppy to hug when he was young. Seriously!
