Prince George, B.C.- The high winds that accompanied the thunderstorm that rolled through the Central Interior late this afternoon has been blamed for numerous power outages.
In Prince George there are numerous outages reported and most will not have power restored until 11 or 12 tonight. In all there are about 500 customers in Prince Geoerge without power, a further 600 or so are without power in the Quesnel area.
In many cases, there are reports of trees down on hydro lines.

The wind was gusting through the parking lot at Pine Centre mall at full force around 3:30pm, knocking over the umbrellas and some chairs on the patio at Starbucks.
One chair broke a plexiglass plate in the fence surrounding the patio.
