Prince George, B.C. - Prince George Fire Fighters rescued seven dogs from a burning residence on Zral Road yesterday afternoon.
Prince George Fire Rescue Service Assistant Chief, Rod Wiese, says no one was home at the time the blaze broke out. It started at the back of the home and spread to the attached garage and into the roof before firefighters from three halls arrived.
Wiese says the 15 firefighters extinguished the blaze quickly, but were on-scene for three hours of overhaul to ensure it was completely out.
Damage is estimated at $150-thousand dollars. The cause of the blaze is still under investigation.
