Roller Dome Event Shut Down Earlier than Planned

Prince George, B.C. - More details being released today on the incident at the Prince George Roller-Dome which lead to that event wrapping up earlier than planned.
RCMP saythey had received a number of complaints regarding an event being held at the Prince George Roller Dome over the past weekend.
The local detachment members of the RCMP and the Uniformed Gang Task Force, arrived on scene to find a number of intoxicated individuals who were causing a disturbance by fighting.
RCMP arrested a number of adults who were transported to the Prince George Detachment cells in order to prevent any further problems and to ensure those involved had a safe place to sleep it off. They were released from custody once they were sober.
RCMP also investigated a number of Liquor infractions and a number of violation tickets were issued under the Liquor Control and Licensing Act.
Police were concerned regarding the number of youth at the event as they were interacting with individuals who were known to police and known to be associated with local gangs. ( see previous story) Police believe the event was posing a risk to the safety of those in attendance and therefore the event was closed down earlier than advertised.
Police were advised that the event was initially intended for charitable purposes but soon got out of hand when a number of individuals became intoxicated and started causing problems.
