Is there life after politics? Walter Cobb, former MLA, former Mayor of Williams Lake, former Alderman and former business owner says, he doesn’t have a clue what he’s going to be doing but its going to be something.
Cobb has had nearly a month to contemplate his options after being defeated in the recent provincial election. He had been Mayor of Williams Lake from 1990 to 1996, MLA for the Caribou South in the last term and Alderman in Williams Lake for ten years beginning in 1980.
Cobb says it was a bit of a surprise to be knocked off in the provincial election. He said I knew it was going to be close but not this way.
He says he could always ask the boys who now operate his men’s store, Walt’s Men’s Wear "If they would have me." He says he also " Bought a bunch of woodworking tools some time ago, now is the time to use them."
