Kamloops, B.C. -  The Prince George Cougars won 8-1 on the road last night, despite being outshot 40-25 by the Kamloops Blazers.

The victory comes on the heels of the team's first win at home, 5-2 over the Prince Albert Raiders on Friday night.

And the team seemed to build on the momentum created in the final period of Friday night's game, by scoring 5 goals in the first period last night to lead the Blazers 5-1 after 20-minutes.  After a scoreless 2nd, Prince George again turned on the steam and scored another 3 in the 3rd.

Sena Acolatse led the Cats with 2 goals and 2 assists, Charles Inglis had a pair of goals and 1 assist, and Captain Brett Connolly had a 2 goal night, as well.

Prince George now sits in 2nd place in their division, with two games in-hand behind the Vancouver Giants, at 5-4-and-1.  The team hosts Brandon at CN Centre on Wednesday night.

What's wrong? All the people so quick to criticize aren't so quick to congratulate?
congrats cougars bring on Brandon
Goals aside, it makes a big difference having goaltending. I hope the last 2 games are a sign of what our goaltending will look like. I have no doubt we will score lots. Also really looking forward to Tri City this weekend. I think that is a true test!
It will be nice to have a winning team. Like any entertainment - the better the show the more people come. Let's hope this continues and we start to fill the CN Center again. The atmosphere can be so much fun in there.
keep it up cats!
