Prince George, B.C. -  Environment Canada has issued a freezing rain warning for the central interior, with the main threat to Prince George and just east of the city.

The warning is calling for an extended period of freezing rain overnight.  The weather agency says a pacific frontal system will bring precipitation to the region overnight and, with surface temperatures just below freezing and and a freezing layer aloft, it will fall mainly as freezing rain.

There could be as much as 2 to 4mm of ice build up before the rain lets up early in the morning.

YRB was out spraying some kind of antifreezing solution on the highways. Sure made a mess on windshields. Hope it prevented any accidents though. Does anyone know what that stuff is?
